I Double Dog Dare You ~ 3-D Halloween

I Double Dog Dare You

Welcome to I Double Dog Dare You. Each month there is a Double Dog Dare to create a project. This month, is no exception and everyone has been asked to create a Halloween creation that not only depicts Halloween but is a 3-D object.... do you dare to even create???? Let's see how Halloween speaks in a 3-D version ...

The hop begins with Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. If you arrived at my blog by accident, don't get me wrong as I love you visiting me but I wouldn't want you to miss one single stop along the way!!!!! Here's the complete line-up just in case you would happen to get frightened and need to close your eyes.......

Lynne Kirsch ~ http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/
Kimberly Pate ~ http://scrappingrookie.blogspot.com/
Lucy Kelleher ~ http://love2createitall.com
Lisa Peters ~ http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/
Anita Cannon    http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com
Janet Smith ~ http://www.ladyluvbug.blogspot.com/

Greetings Earthlings.  My name is Oma, I am the master alien.  Lynne has been hopelessly (and willingly) abducted by aliens. She doesn't know it yet, but we are taking over her blog for the Halloween blog hop. We know Lynne is a dedicated and very talented crafter, and this project is just the cutest.  Lynne's project for the Halloween Hop is a very cute treat bag for her grand daughter. I wonder if her cute little granddaughter will dress up like an alien for Halloween.  My guess is she will dress up like a little princess, or a doll.  She is such a sweet little angel.

Lynne tells us aliens that crafting is her passion, especially when she is crafting for her grandkids.  Here is the recipe for the adorable project.

* Plantin Scoolbook Cricut Cartridge for the box
* K and C Company for the cute Candy Paper
* The Candy Cane Bear is a pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven (you will find it in the dollar specials)

Lynne tells me that she attached the Candy Corn Bear with an Action Wobble.  She also tells us that her granddaughter really loved the box and kept kissing it and calling it a baby.  Being the smart alien that I am, I would bet that Grammie filled the box with some  cookies or another sweet treat for her granddaughter. I bet is was alien shaped cookies.  Yes, that is it.  That is my story.

Okay earthlings, you don't want to miss any of the wonderful projects these ladies have for you today.  Please move carefully from one blog to another, you never know when we may come after you next.  Your next stop along the way is Kimberly!!!! Have a great Halloween and remember the most important words "Trick or Treat"

Enjoy the hop and Happy Halloween!

God Bless and thank you for stopping by
Hugs, Love, and Pixie Dust
Oma

*won't Lynne be surprised when she sees I have hijacked her blog, good thing I have magic powers and I can hide at the blink of an eye*

Bewitched Blog Hop

Welcome to the Bewitched Blog Hop. Have you ever wanted to just "twitch" your nose and make things happen without of course the meddling "mother-in-law" and the other cast of characters!

Bewitched was an American situation comedy broadcast for eight seasons from 1964 to 1972. The show is about a witch who marries a mortal and tries to lead the life of a typical suburban housewife. The series even had a different Darren cast part way through the broadcast. There was a wild cast of characters including the neighbor, Gladys, and Larry, Darren's boss and not forgetting the poor aunt that her powers just weren't up to "snuff".

If you just happened to land here on your broom today by chance, I would love for you to start this hop at beginning which is Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. Lynne is still test-driving her broom and should be up and ready shortly!

WELL, thanks for your patience, the new broom works alright but still not enuf speed .....

  • For my project, I used one of Designs on Cloud 9 which was a freebie at the time, Shoe Fits Title
  • Card was cut 4.25 x 5.50 inches with background cut using Cricut Doodle Charms 6 x 12 - inch paper
  • title was puff-dotted on card
  • sentiment was inked with lilac and stamped

Your next episode is the bewitching Miss Kimberly and fly safe!

The complete line-up just in case there is a chance of cloudy with an overcast of brooms is:

This is a Halloween-themed hop sponsored by Kenny K Downloads (http://www.kennykdownloads.com/).  One lucky winner will win their choice of FIVE digi’s from the Kenny K Downloads store along with a fun Halloween goody bag sponsored by our hostess, Dena Jones.  Details on how to enter are at the bottom of this post.  Here is a brief bio on our sponsor:

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all your creations!

Now, on to my project:

For my project, it just started taking a life on of its own and truly not only became possessed but had a story to tell!!!
  • the digi I chose is Trixie Treat - now, she has that sweet innocence look like she's out trick-or-treating and isn't quite sure of the path she chose
  • the digi of the Haunted House is another KennyK's Haunted House that Trixie's friends have dared her to trick-or-treat
  • there's a crow on a grave marker that is saying "beware" that was cut using Cricut Happy Hauntings along with a tree with a scary face
  • the blood oozing from the top of the card and the grave with the crow was cut using my Martha Stewart's Drippy Goo punch
  • all was colored using my Spectrum markers
  • Trixie, Haunted Tree, and Crow with Grave were all puff-dotted on with the moon cut out with puff-dots to add additional dimension
  • card was cut 7 x 6 - inches using DCWV La Creme
  • used Sketch #25 for October 2012 from I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose (I am part of her Design Team) with of course, a twist of Lynne added to the mix!
  • background was cut 6.75 x 5.75 - inches using Tsunami Rose 2012 Halloween Printable Kit (13 full-page papers/2 Halloween Sentiment Stamps/1 Page Ephemera)

Photobucket

If you are here for the National Dessert Blog Hop (and who wouldn't want dessert), click here.

Welcome to Sasha Loves Her Cricut Birthday Bash Party Blog Hop. Sasha is Lynne's oldest granddaughter at the ripe old age of 7 today. Sasha loves to craft with Grammie Lynne especially with the Cricut! She knows the rules of using the Cricut ---

  1. no food eaten on or around the Cricut
  2. no touching the Cricut when the blade is cutting
  3. and the most important rule - THE CRICUT IS NOT A TOY!!!

Everyone participating in this hop is to make Sasha card for her birthday using their Cricut - Sasha loves Disney Cars, Hello Kitty is her favorite cartridge to cut out and make into cards, Cinderella is her favorite Disney Princess and she loves balloons are just a few of her favorites.

Come along and help wish Sasha a very happy birthday!!!! If you just happened to stop by and visit me today, I'm thrilled and glad you follow me but I wouldn't want you to miss any of Sasha's party! Our party starts with Lynne, Her Craftiness, at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/

Lynne is going through her stash and found all kinds of goodies in her recent move that she will make up a party favor bag to one lucky person that comments along the way.

There is a great group of ladies helping to celebrate Sasha's birthday and here is the line-up in case you get lost along the way with the confetti and balloons

For my card for Sasha, I have made a faux LaLaLoopsy card.

RECIPE:
