This is what I have created with Sketch #8 for August 31, 2012:

  • I love this card with the vintage elements that I had used and hope you do also.
  • What I love most about Daisy's sketches is how it inspires the creativity and to reach to new heights.
  • The paper is quick and easy to print and I find that I print several copies at one time that I  have it ready for when I need it!!! Even, when my printer is running low, I love the shades that I get when printing!
RECIPE:
  • The sentiment I used was, "Precious and few are friends like you"
  • My card was cut 6 x 6-inches
  • I used Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge for the lacey bottom swirl and circle element
  • I used my Fiskars butterfly border punch which I made sure you were able to see the butterflies
  • Inset is from Tsunami Rose Zibbet store, 8x8 Vintage Digital Printable Scrapbook Paper - "Vintage Butterfly Script"
  • Check out how adorable the little girl and boy are sharing the umbrella which also may be found in Tsunami Rose Zibbet store, Vintage Girls Printables

Hunka Hunka Burning Love Blog Hop

Its a Hunka Hunka Burning love with our tribute to Elvis Presley at Heartbreak Hotel but you better be careful or you will end up at Jail House Rock because I Was the One and Love Me Tender with the Memories as I Was Crying in the Chapel with Suspicious Minds because You Ain't Nothing but a Hound Dog but I Can't Help But Falling in Love with You as you are Always on My Mind and I'm All Shook Up while I wearing my Blue Suede Shoes and please, please, please, Don't Be Cruel .

Elvis also sang beautiful gospel music which was truly Amazing Grace not to mention saying his Evening Prayer which proclaimed How Great Thou Art! I Believe that In the Garden for Just a Closer Walk for Just a Little Talk with Jesus to be Nearer My God to Thee.

Elvis Aaron Presley a (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was one of the most popular American singers of the 20th century.

Lots of memories for those of us that were around during that time but his memory lives on with his music and movies ... there isn't a Saturday without an Elvis Presley movie with his beautiful co-stars such as Ann Margaret! There isn't an oldie station that doesn't have an Elvis song playing and we all have our favorites!

This blog hop is to show a tribute to an American icon, Elvis Presley through his movies, his music and his swivel hips!!! Sit back and get the rabbit ears adjusted to watch our really big show!!!!

If you came in your pink cadillac to visit today, Mama's happy and would love to serve you some peanut butter banana pie but we would love for you to begin at the beginning which is me!!!!

For my project, I have a silhouette of Elvis in his early years with mic in hand which was found Denise's Scrapbooking Room on a blue paper from my DCWV Mariposa Paper Stack which includes not only the solid but matching glitter and a shiney of that shade which the shiney blue for Elvis’ blue suede shoes!

Your next act is being provided by Lisa. Thank you, thank you very much. . .

Just in case, Elvis has left the room and you get lost along the way here's the entire line-up:

I Believe There Are Angels Among Us

Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours.
To show us how to live to teach us how to give.
To guide us with the light of love.

I know for myself, that I have a guardian angel watching over me as she is my very own precious child that I had lost in 1991 and she would have been 23 years old today. Strange how comforting it is to know that someone watches over us in sew many ways.

When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees.
There’s always been someone there to come along and comfort me.
A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand.
A phone call from a friend, just to say I understand.

Today's hop may be the story of our own Guardian Angel who watches over us, the beauty of angels, or just expressing kind words. The craft blogging world is phenomenal as sharing loving thoughts and caring towards others.

        We have fabulous sponsors today

        • Lucy Kelleher, A Close to My Heart representative, has graciously offered a stamp set called "Angelic Blessings" to one lucky winner that becomes a follower of her blog, http://love2createitall.blogspot.com

If you were visiting me today, I appreciate and love you visiting me, but would want you to start at the beginning of the hop not as to miss a single angel with Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. I am at the start of the hop today and you’re in the right flight pattern!

My project today is a work in progress as I have made two (2) angels which I think will go in a book I will make.

        • Angels are from Simply Prim Angels from My Scrap Chick which I think are funky but yet representative of how I imagine my angel to be. . .
        • Papers are scraps
Your next stop along the way today is Kimberly. I thank you and appreciate you're stopping today and hope you stop again!

I have the complete line-up of the angels and my very special friends in the blog hop just in case you get off the chosen path!!!

God Bless and thank you for stopping by
